2015 Missions Report

JCF has just released its 2015 Missions Report. Included are highlights from the Philippines, Iwate, and a new connection with SMILE Japan, a center for deaf-blind and mute people in Osaka. Iwate Missions Report

JCF sent a mission team to Iwate in Tohoku this summer to help with outreach efforts in a number of communities. Iwate Volunteer Opportunities

The JCF Missions Team is looking for volunteers to help rehabilitate and spread the Gospel to the people of Iwate in Tohoku. Date: August 4-7 (Batch 1) August 7-10 (Batch 2) Mission Fields: 3/11 Tsunami-affected areas (5 different locations) Activities: English classes Tracting (flyer distribution) Light construction Packing/Unpacking (moving assistance related to relocation) Outdoor events for kids and elderly Sunday school kid’s events (Batch 2) Crafts and café for adults in temporary shelters Events similar to worship services Cost: Volunteers need to cover all expenses. Heart to Heart: A Valentines Charity for the Philippines

You are cordially invited to a charity dessert party to be held this Valentine’s Day. In March, the JET Christian Fellowship will have another opportunity to serve the storm-devastated communities of Tacloban and Biliran in the Philippines. All funds from this charity event will directly serve the people of these communities. The charity event will take place on February 14 at Osaka Seventh Day Adventist Church in the 4th floor meeting room. In the spirit of Valentine’s Day (and slightly contrary to tradition), the men will be serving the women with a dessert party and some live entertainment.
